QuickNAS Terms of Service

Last updated: February 13, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of QuickNAS (the “App”), including related support channels at support@unko.fun.

By installing or using QuickNAS, you agree to these Terms.

1. About QuickNAS

QuickNAS is a macOS menu bar app for uploading files to Synology NAS devices. Current features include:

  • Direct URL and QuickConnect login methods
  • Direct upload and “Upload and Share” workflows
  • Account/session management for NAS connections
  • Upload path rules, duplicate-file handling, and transfer notifications
  • Local client logs and optional bug-report packaging

QuickNAS is an independent product and is not endorsed by Synology Inc.

2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You must be legally able to accept these Terms in your jurisdiction.

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for unlawful or unauthorized purposes
  • Upload content you do not own or have rights to use
  • Interfere with networks, systems, or security mechanisms
  • Reverse engineer or abuse services connected to the App

You are solely responsible for your files, account credentials, and NAS-side permissions.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use QuickNAS for personal or internal business use.

No ownership rights in QuickNAS are transferred to you.

4. Accounts and Sessions

QuickNAS requires you to provide NAS account information to authenticate with your NAS.

  • Passwords are used for login requests and are not stored as plain account settings
  • Session credentials may be stored securely in macOS Keychain to keep your session active
  • You are responsible for protecting your device and account access

If your account session becomes invalid, you may be required to log in again.

5. Upload and Share Behavior

QuickNAS provides configurable transfer behavior, including:

  • Duplicate filename handling (overwrite or skip)
  • Multiple-file “Upload and Share” packaging (ZIP)
  • Package size limit controls (up to 4 GB)

You are responsible for confirming that your selected upload mode, file size, and destination path are appropriate for your NAS environment.

6. Third-Party Services

QuickNAS interacts with third-party systems, including:

  • Your Synology NAS and related APIs
  • Synology QuickConnect services when enabled by you
  • Apple system services (for example, notifications, Keychain, and email compose/share services)

Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Support and Communications

You may contact us at support@unko.fun.

If you choose “Report Bug” in the App, QuickNAS may prepare an email draft with diagnostic attachments (such as recent client logs and basic app/environment metadata) for your review before sending.

You control whether to send that email.

8. Updates and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of QuickNAS at any time, with or without notice.

We may also update these Terms. Continued use of QuickNAS after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

QuickNAS is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free behavior, or compatibility with every NAS/network setup.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickNAS and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the App.

If liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickNAS and its operators from claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your misuse of the App
  • Your content or uploads
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable law

12. Termination

You may stop using QuickNAS at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to support/services related to QuickNAS if we reasonably believe you violate these Terms or create risk to users or infrastructure.
