Idle Company Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

This policy applies to Idle Company 2.0 for macOS. It explains what the app stores, what may leave your Mac, and which Apple services the app uses.

Summary

Idle Company does not contain advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking. The developer does not operate an account system, analytics server, or game save server for the app. Game progress is stored locally on your Mac.

The app does not automatically upload diagnostic logs. Information leaves your Mac only when you use an Apple service such as Game Center, or when you choose to send feedback or an error report through your email app.

Information stored on your Mac

Idle Company stores the following information locally:

  • your game save, including companies, managers, upgrades, market state, acquisitions, headquarters progress, reports, and current operating day;
  • your selected interface language;
  • local Game Center synchronization information, including the Game Center player identifier supplied by Apple, leaderboard baselines, and the highest scores the app has attempted to submit;
  • local diagnostic log entries used to create an error report when you request one.

This information is stored in the app’s sandbox and is not sent to a server operated by the developer.

Choosing Erase Save and Restart removes the current game save. It does not remove your language preference or scores already stored by Game Center. Game Center data is managed through your Apple account and Apple’s services.

Game Center

Idle Company uses Apple Game Center for optional leaderboards. When Game Center is available and you are signed in, the app may:

  • authenticate the local Game Center player through Apple;
  • submit your fictional group value, 30-day growth score, operating day, and the baseline needed to calculate the current 30-day result;
  • request player aliases, ranks, formatted scores, and leaderboard periods from Apple for display in the app.

The developer does not receive or store this information on a separate server. Apple processes Game Center information under Apple’s privacy policy and your Game Center settings.

Feedback and error reports

The Support & About page offers two optional actions:

  • Send Feedback opens your email app with the game version, macOS version, current operating day, and number of companies prefilled in the message.
  • Report an Error creates a local HTML report and opens your email app with that report attached. The report may include recent app logs, errors, exception details, the game version, macOS version, current operating day, and number of companies.

Nothing is sent until you review the email and choose to send it. You can edit the message or remove the attachment before sending.

If you send an email, the developer receives the address and name supplied by your email account, your message, and any attachment you choose to include. Support correspondence is used only to answer your request, diagnose a reported problem, protect the app, or meet legal obligations. It is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. You may request deletion by emailing support@unko.fun.

Your email provider processes the message according to its own privacy policy.

Third-party software and services

  • Apple Game Center provides player authentication and leaderboards.
  • Diagnostics and ExceptionCatcher are open-source components that create local logs and the optional error report. They do not automatically send the report to the developer.
  • Your email provider processes a support message only after you choose to send it.

Links from the app open in your web browser. Use of the UNKO.fun website, including any optional website analytics or cookies, is governed by the website privacy notice and your browser consent choices.

No tracking or advertising

Idle Company does not use data to track you across apps or websites, does not sell personal information, and does not share app data with advertising networks or data brokers.

Children

Idle Company is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app has no chat, public profile creation, or user-generated content system. If you believe a child has sent personal information in a support email, contact support@unko.fun so it can be deleted.

Your choices

You can:

  • play without using the leaderboard page;
  • sign out of or restrict Game Center through your Apple account settings;
  • choose whether to send any feedback or error report;
  • edit a support email and remove its attachment before sending;
  • erase the local game save from the Settings page;
  • request deletion of support correspondence by contacting the developer.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app’s features or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the policy before the related data practice is introduced.
