Idle Company is an idle management and business simulation designed for macOS. Start with two businesses, let daily operations advance automatically while the game stays open, and return when it is time to make the next meaningful decision.
Keep the group running
- Companies generate fictional cash and operating results automatically while Idle Company is open.
- Close the main window and check cash, profit, current work, and the next recommended action from the menu bar.
- Pause or resume the simulation whenever you want.
- Spend your time choosing upgrades, managers, market moves, and acquisitions—not repeating clicks.
Quitting Idle Company stops the simulation. The game does not grant progress for time spent fully closed.
Manage real bottlenecks
Every company has four connected work steps, and the weakest step limits output. Compare income, costs, production, market position, and recent history before funding an operating improvement or asset upgrade.
Hire general managers whose skills match the companies that need them, then allocate limited headquarters work slots across operations, market plans, and acquisitions.
Build a company group
Begin with two companies and evaluate 11 acquisition targets. Compare purchase price, checking costs, operating quality, risk, and industry fit. A completed investigation never closes the deal automatically—the final decision remains yours.
Four headquarters programs provide long-term capabilities that benefit the whole group.
Compete, review, and adapt
Follow changing demand across three industries and nine independent rivals. Run market plans to defend profit, win demand, or slow a strong competitor, then review up to 365 operating days across group, company, market, spending, and forecast reports.
